Parachela hypophthalmus is a species of cyprinid in the genus Parachela.[2] It inhabits Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, in Sumatra and Borneo[3] and has a maximum length of 16.5 centimetres (6.5 in).[2] It has been assessed as least concern by the IUCN,[3] and is considered harmless to humans.[2]
